I've always drawn people as well as pets, landscapes and everything else, but I began doing custom portraits recently when "Max's" mother (owner of a basset hound whose portrait I've done) asked me to do one of her 10-year-old daughter, Madeline, as well. I approached the portrait in the same way as the pet portraits, photographing first, and then painting the watercolor. It was so much fun, I decided to open the custom portraits up to people portraits. I've been so busy with the pets, that I haven't done as many people portraits, but here are several examples of this newer work.
I'd also like to do portraits of children with their pets, or generational portraits, as in a 50 year-old woman, with her 80-year old mother, or a mother and her 4 year old son. Double portraits of people are more expensive, as they demand more time. Price would be negotiable.
